RPFD has gained two more, much-needed, pack-qualified firefighters to our roster! Firefighters Antonio Rodrigues and Charlie Kirsch successfully completed their Firefighter I courses at Delaware County Emergency Service Training Center, earning them the certifications needed to don airpacks and enter structure fires. Making it through this course shows their commitment to Ridley Park and the volunteer fire service. Tony and Charlie are both proving to be valuable assets to the company, not just by making fire calls, but also by participating in community events, training nights, crew nights, and just generally bringing a positive attitude to everything they do.
We are always looking for more volunteers like Tony and Charlie. As with them, we will send you to fire school, which takes place two nights a week, plus weekends, we provide all your gear and equipment, and we will train you in-house as well. No experience is necessary. Please reach out if interested or stop up at the station before 7pm on a Thursday night.
